Hi, I'm Amy!

For as long as I can remember, I’ve been a creative. My earliest memories include spending lots of time in my cozy closet hideout, putting together puzzles and writing story after story with ALL the colorful illustrations. What I would do to go back in time and be a fly on the wall! I’m sure that I’d find myself talking aloud quite enthusiastically, overflowing with excitement about whatever it was I was doing.

As time passed, I had to search for new creative outlets somehow, some way. I ended up becoming an elementary school teacher where, my goodness, being creative was part of the position—and I truly loved every minute of the years I spent in the classroom. My journey then led me to motherhood, my proudest achievement. The last fifteen years I’ve been devoted to making every moment be as memorable and special as can be so that my children grow up knowing that the best things in life aren’t things. There are so many small joys in the everyday, from books, to dancing, and just being together saying absolutely nothing at all.  

My goal in 2020 when I began was to make flowers available to everyone by popping up all over Pittsburgh and bringing joy and delight to all. Traveling throughout the city in my mobile flower boutique, Birdie, allowed me to meet so many wonderful people. Introducing my floral style turned into creating and designing for celebrations, weddings, and events, which is my focus today. Flowers are a luxury that can brighten anyone’s spirit. They are a gift to give or adore yourself. I hope that my Blooms leave a lasting impression on you and find a permanent home in your memories.
